 I'm not sure if any one has a solution but ranting will make me feel some better!    The face flies at my barn are TERRIBLE this year!  I have THREE cattle ranchers near me and they are obviouslly not feeding fly control supplements this year like they have in the past and they all have much larger herds than usual.  I even want to put a bee keeper's hat on when I go outside!  So I suppose my options are ride early or ride at night or get fly predators and go trespassing and sprinkle.  I already get up rather early to go to work and I have lights in my arena but I work pretty long days so by the time it gets dark, I'm done for.  UGH!!!!!!  I suppose I'll be totally re-arranging my schedule of sleep and carry coffee with me at all times!
