 I know she is
1. A reality TV personality (Rodeo Girls)
2. Model
3. Dates Anthony Lucia (Team Roper, Announcer, Rodeo Act)
4. Clinician

So what  credentials does she have as far as winnings/acheivments in the arena? I see that shes putting on clinics. Just curious..

I think she rode with Fallon Taylor (briefly) a few months ago.  Might have just been trying him out, but her and Fallon both made a big deal about it.

Hi, I'm Jessica.
I was born in a small town in Washington, with boots on my feet and a rope in my hand.

I was riding before I could walk, and I never plan to stop. My favorite feeling in the world is racing a horse through a field, with their mane in my face. I honestly believe that with enough hard work, determination and faith - anybody can make their dreams a reality.

Working with animals gives me the greatest joy on earth. My first love was a barrel horse named "Tipsy". She was my best friend and partner in crime growing up. I won my first barrel race with Tipsy, and it will always be one of my most cherished memories. When I lost my dad, Tipsy was there for me - giving me an escape when I needed to get away from the sadness. Horses are great like that - they give you a shoulder to lean on, and support to help become the person you want to be.

Today I am focusing on my barrel racing, working with my four-year-old named Flirty as well as my other prospects, as I work towards achieving my dreams of becoming a recognized barrel racing champion.

Press Biography
22-year-old Jessica Holmberg is a reality TV star, a professional barrel racer and trainer, and a model.

Originally from Washington, Jessica moves across the nation in pursuit of her dream to become a national barrel racing champion, competing across America.

With Rodeo Girls, Jessica made her debut as a television personality. The first season saw six episodes air, the season finale airing on January 9, 2014. The show followed Jessica and four other women - Barb West, Darcy La Pier, Marvel Murphy and fellow rookie Megan Etcheberry, down the rodeo trail for a season. Rodeo Girls was not Jessica's first brush with the entertainment industry as she has been a model for western clothing brands as well.

Having ridden horses her entire life, Jessica began barrel racing at the age of four and has never looked back. She ran her first professional rodeo in Bremerton, Washington at 18, and has been competing on the amateur circuit ever since. Jessica has broken records and qualified as a top rider on many youth barrel racing and rodeo circuits. Her junior year of high school, Jessica competed as a National High School Rodeo finalist in barrel racing and team roping. Currently, Jessica is training and seasoning her horses during her 2014 Clinic Tour and plans on returning to the competitive rodeo circuit in the fall of 2014.

Not just an athlete, Jessica also has a degree from Walla Walla Community College, where she was on the rodeo team, a registered dental assistant, and a certified equine laser therapist. Jessica still offers her professional laser therapy services in addition to her horse training, as she is always striving to improve the conditions of her horses.

I just found an older post on here that pretty much answers any questions I may have had and then some lol. I was really wondering if folks went to her clinics because she is known on the tv show, or if they went because she had an impressive record. I obviously dont know too much about her, so it was plausable I had not heard of her acheivments.

Easy.....she has none. I don't think I have ever seen her get past the 3D. A shame people pay for training because they are caught up in a TV personality.

I did a clinic with Jessica Holmberg and Barb West not long ago.. I will say that Barb is by FAR more experienced and better educated about horses than Jessica is. Not saying she isn't a good rider because she helped me a ton with my horse.. but definitely NOT the best clinician. JMO.

I hope people take note and spend their hard earned dollars for a clinic with a REAL clinician and not a TV personality......

As a disclaimer I know nothing about Jessica Holmberg.

However, just because she doesn't have a long list of credentials and isn't a famous clinician doesn't mean she has nothing to offer anyone, knowledge wise. I know plenty of people riding horses that don't always hit the 1D that have a wealth of knowledge about horses in general. And it seems she has accomplished quite a bit for such a young age-MUCH more than plenty of young people in our nation. All in all-don't be so hard on the young lady.

I'm not saying this to be rude...and I need to put that disclaimer, because I'm friends with people who are friends with Jessica...but I competed against Jessica when she did WAHSET (Washington High School Equestrian Team), and that's the "record" she's talking about breaking; she broke it at an arena called the Trails in Olympia, which is no longer open. The WAHSET-size pattern and the pattern we have at some of the local barrel races around here are the same, and her "record" is about a full second slower than what the 1D horses around here run on the same pattern. WAHSET isn't very competitive, however currently there are a handful of true 1D/2D horses running, but it's only like 1 or 2 per district.

She's not a bad rider, but she doesn't have what I consider to be "real" credentials yet. I'm not bashing her because I don't have them either, I've only placed in the 1D like twice in my life and at small races. I think I remember she was a pretty decent roper though, my dad always helped with the breakaway and steer daubing and he remembers her.

I know some great trainers and riders that don't make it past the 3D most of the time. I don't think what division you fall in makes you a better rider/trainer.

But I really wouldn't spend the money on a clinic with her unless it was pretty cheap. I don't think she's experienced enough as a CLINICIAN to offer me a whole lot of help. Not saying anything about riding or training ability.

Some of the best riders and trainers couldn't teach a clinic to save their lives. It's one thing to RIDE a horse, it's another thing to explain to someone else how to do it, in a way that they will understand.

I never said you couldn't walk away without learning something from her. BUT she is teaching a barrel racing clinic, I want my trainer to have the experience and statistics. Otherwise pay some other Joe Schmoe who says they are a trainer because they participate in a race.

And I'm sure this won't go over well with many but yes, I do want my trainer running in the 1D. I'm hiring them to teach my horse and I, why wouldn't I want someone who is winning teach me??
