Sometimes people grow up with the impression that God cannot or will not tolerate our complaints or frustrations. Sometimes there is the perception that God is only interested in flowery prayers that talk about sunshine and daisies.
In Psalm 109 David wrote what he felt. There was no holding back. In this instance, he had been wronged and cheated and that treatment was undeserved. He called out to God for His intervention, and he got quite specific about the ways he hoped God would bring retribution. Is that allowed? Perhaps the real lesson to be earned is that there is nothing you can't express to God. God is ready to hear our complaints. He wants to know what is on our hearts even if it isn't all that pretty. He is waiting to hear.
Father, I have been struggling, I am tired and weary. I ask for Your Hand of Grace to lift me up , to guide me, give me peace, joy. I am a vessel for You, help me show others there is a way, that this season of trials will pass. I pray in the MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS MY LORD AND SAVIOR AMEN
