How do you let go the same farrier that you have had the last 22yrs. He is doing ok but I have been having more issues with him trimming the last few times and I usually do trims every 8 weeks but this time he put me out 12, I did not notice until I had got back to the house. Do I call or wait till he comes?

Ask him why, and that you want to keep trims at 8 weeks. Gosh 8 weeks is pretty long, I would tell him 12 weeks just wont work for you.
