Location: North Dakota | I think I have read before that you can use BOT products in any weather.
But it's going to be 95 degrees on Sunday. Do you use BOT products on your horse when it is that hot?
If you do not, what temperature do you consider "too hot" to use them? |

If you do not, what temperature do you consider "too hot" to use them? To me thats too hot, especially for the blanket. On those days I try and run out and BOT in the morning before I leave while its still cool. Or if Im parked in the shade i'll throw the blanket on, but just over his back and I won't buckle it up (leave the chest open). I won't ever BOT in direct sunlight (ETA in the summer up here:)...they just get too dang hot.
Now the quick wraps are such soft material that they don't get super hot in my experience. I will put them on while in the trailer and then pull them off when I get to where I'm going and haven't had a problem.

 Vodka for Lunch
Location: Lala Land | I was told by the dealer that a lot of barns around Stephenville will put them on for about 2 hours. I've had my blanket on for an hour or two in 90+ at a barrel race and he didn't sweat from it. I don't leave it on all day if it's over 80, but I will put it on at night and take it off first thing in the morning. |

Location: North Dakota | I don't have a BOT blanket but I've got the quick wraps. I can tell that the boots AND his legs are warm when I take them off.
Just always has me wondering how warm is TOO warm?
Everyone always talks about hauling and you don't want the legs to get too warm with shipping boots, so it makes me wonder about BOT. I know it's a different thing than plain shipping boots, but is heat still heat?

| I own a pair of wraps and a blanket and hardly ever use them only when I know they might be sore from a fall or super hard work. But I cringe when I see these lil rodeo girls with a Hidez suit on, then back on track wraps over it, and I've VISIBLY seen their horse sweat with all that garb on! Craziness just because it looks pretty -_- |

Location: Sunny So Cal | I don't put the blankets on and leave them in direct sun. During the summer I do it early in the morning, like 6am and sometimes again late at night. For me personal, once it starts to get over 80 it's too hot. |
