I know a few years ago 2006-2010 I did not like Hilason tack. Didn't feel like good leather and very fake. Over this year though I've known two girls that have bought their tack and surprisingly they loved it! It got me wondering and does anyone know if their quality has gotten better?

I've never been a fan of their stuff, BUT I'm always open minded about giving people another chance to make their product better. I actually have to go to their store sometime this week to get some Boots&Bells so I will let you know if its gotten any better.

LOL...I don't know about that...down here where I live, a local gas station owner decided his family should get in the tack business and let me tell ya, it was the most atrocious stuff I've ever seen! the saddles were literally plastic and the feed smelled like formaldehyde..I told him good luck trying to sell that crap in a very agriculture dominated community... I Wouldn't even saddle my old breyer horses with that crap!

Oh my goodness that sounds awful! Hahah I wondered if they really thought that making good quality nice tack was going to come from plastic and bad tools lol! Also thank you if you do go into the store!

You're better off buying a used Bob Marshall or Circle Y Tammy or Jackie saddle.

I bought a set from them in December....not amazing quality but it's pretty and will work for now. I was actually impressed with how nice it was when I got it. Haven't used it a whole lot since I got it but it's holding up well so far.
