Location: dead end road | Did anyone ever have a child with chronic ear infections that you were able to link to a milk allergy? We haven't been to the dr yet but I'm pretty sure Delaney has another ear infection. Will be her 8th one and she turned 10 months yesterday. Wade was the same way and had several sets of tubes. The Dr said we would go to the ENT with the next ear infection so I'll be calling this week. Anyway my friend battled the same thing and at 2 they took her son of milk (put him on almond milk) and he hasn't had an issue in over a year. Has hardly even had a runny nose. So I'm wondering of D could have a milk allergy too? I nursed her for 7.5 months then went through my frozen milk and she's on Similac Sensitive formula now, has been on full formula about 6 weeks. Just curious if anyone has dealt with anything like this. |

| My son (now 11) had chronic ear infections. We took him to a specialist .. many times the eustachian (not sure about spelling) tubes are not developed enough so there is a need to put in ear tubes. BEST decision. Completely solved the problem for us. I cried at the thought of my son undergoing surgery and could hardly keep myself together when the nurse took him from me. However, the surgery is so quick, it was over before I knew it. No more ear infections! We went to an ear, nose and throat doc (they have a fancy name otolaryngologist ). |

| The first summer my son was old enough to play in his wading pool he started having ear infections. The next summer we didn't give him a wading pool and he didn't have ear infections. |

Location: Wisconsin | Try a chiropractor and raw milk. It worked for my two nieces and I took my son to the Chiro right after he was born and has never had an ear infection. He is now two. My nieces were getting ear infections constantly! Since the Chiro and raw milk, they have not had a problem in two months. |

| if they are around second hand smoke that will cause chronic ear infections; you need to see an ENT. I have a friend who is a cancer specialist and his words to me 25 years ago was ....... keep your child away from second hand smoke, the only two times my son stayed with my mom, at her home, and she was a smoker he had ear infections a couple of days later. |

What did the chiropractor do to eliminate ear infections? |

| If they lay down while drinking anything the fluid will back up into the ears and cause ear infections. So I didn't let mine lay down in the bed with a bottle. |

From my understanding, they both were stiff in their neck. Which can happen at birth. I personally know that if my neck is out and sore that my ears hurt. I can actually feel the pressure release after an adjustment. My son came out like superman with one arm first. So just in case there was stiffness I had him to the chiro shortly after birth. All I can tell you is my son has never been on antibiotics and my two nieces have not needed them since the adjustment. I do not know the specifics of why it worked, but I have heard many other stories of it working also. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | As another poster said. Second hand smoke exposure is often a culprit of chronic ear infections in kids. I had MANY ear infections as a kid and my parents thought it was from swimming. But....doctor suggested it was probably due to them smoking around me. Both of them quit. Hard core cold turkey quit. And I Never had another ear infection after that. And I got to go back to swimming almost daily in the ocean that summer.
My parent's were so awesome to do that for me. I know it couldn't have been easy. |

We will be going to see the ENT before long.
My son had 4 sets of tubes and he still continued to get ear infections. Finally grew out of it about 6 years old.
I'm going to talk to the Dr. about raw milk and goats milk. |

Location: Texas | I am not going to say it is a milk allergy, but my little stayed with ear infections. We were told to put tubes but I was led to see a chiropractor with her. He told me to take her off of whole milk, it thickens their mucus which in turn will cause infections. However she is 4 now and is still on Lactaid. She does have milk products but she can not drink whole milk it hurts her tummy. Hope this helps. I highly recommend a chiropractor before tubes. |

| My fiance is allergic to milk and has severe ear infections. We use lemon oil (young living) around his ears and it has helped too. He has hearing loss from so many ear infections, but he says the oil has helped with his hearing. |
