I feed Renew Gold, liquid 747, grass hay and 2 of my 4 get grass pasture 24/7.
2 of the 4 are doing great. 2 of the 4 are meh.
The 2 I want to see a change in:
2yo gets 1# Renew Gold, liquid 747, Bermuda hay 2X day
(enough she leaves some left over
). She has all of a sudden gotten a little ribby on me and I don't like it. She has been wormed. Teeth aren't great IMO but she's not mine and I have no control. Hopefully they will be done soon. I don't want to add feed because she's already getting more than the bag recommends. For her I was thinkin the rice bran but I'm sure the added protein wouldn't hurt.
10yo gets 1.25# Renew Gold, liquid 747, grass hay whenever she comes to the barn, pasture 24/7, msm. She is fat but not fat- fat. She needs to build muscle on her top line and I feel like she needs some extra umph to help her body. I plan on starting her on THE MM when it gets in. I got behind and ran out. Until then I thought about adding alfalfa pellets to add protein to help build muscle. I'm also riding her different
(long & low
) to build top line. Teeth are good. Worming is good. I just hate feeling an just barely seeing her ribs knowing she has some muscle she needs to build.
My other 2, the 3yo gets 1# renew gold, liquid 747 and pasture and she looks great. Cants see or feel ribs. The 5yo gets 1/2# renew gold and grass hay 2X day. He's got about 1/2" of chub between rib and skin LOL.
All are rode the same amount and wormed the same, ect.
