Location: Central Montana | I can't remember which issue of BH News it was, can anyone tell me or post a link to the article that listed the top 10 earining riders. I think out of the top listed maybe two were women.

Location: Central Montana | To narrow it down I believe the last one I saw was sometime in 2013. I don't keep them so I can't go back through them and find it. |

Location: Central Montana | I was at a reining clinic this past weekend and one of the other attendees asked why the biggest names/money earners were men.
I pointed out that even in what is normally considered a "women's" sport the highest earners outside of WPRA are men. I was looking for that issue that had the stats of the most money earned (I think it was top 10, just for 2013) including but not limited to futurities. If remember right Lance Graves was at the top of the list and Sherry Cervi was somewhere on it and at least one other woman but most of the highest earners were men. |

Location: Central Montana | Thanks for checking! I'm pretty sure it was around last fall I saw it. There were other stats too, on highest earning futurity horses, producing stallions, producing mares, etc. |

| I just ran across the Barrel Horse News from September 2012, but it is decade's top riders so probably still close:
Of the top 10, 6 are men, 4 are women.
Troy Crumrine - $1,782,837 is first.
Then Cody Bauserman, Lance Graves, Kassie Mowry, Talmadge Green, Latricia Duke, Chris Coffey, Brett Monroe, Kenna Squires, and Marne Loosenort in that order. Sherry Cervi was #18.
However, in spots 11-20 there is only 1 man, and then 1 more in the next 5. So that makes 60% of the top 10 men, but only 35% of the top 20, and 32% of the top 25.
I know every year there are more rodeo standings added, so I'm sure that will make a difference in the future. |

I knew I wasn't crazy and had seen those stats in one of the issues.
