Question pertaining to ground

Ive been running my mare on and off for the last two years because of school. Well now I am graduated and can commit a lot more time to competing. Im still trying to figure out what she likes or doesent like as far as size of pens, ground, etc. Im coming though to realize she really excels in a run in center gate, shallow, or hard ground. Ive run her a couple times in pretty deep-deep ground and she still tries but goes a stride or two past the barrels because it almost seems like she cant hold her self up in the deep stuff
(or dosent know how
). So my question is how do you help a horse handle a type of ground they don't like? For instance my mare who dosent really like deep ground, how do I help her become more accustomed to it? The pen where I can ride at is usually very hard, shallow ground so maybe she has just become accustomed to that type of ground? Ive been told before she is 4x4 style and im hoping I can get her to handle the deep ground.
Here are two sample runs to maybe help give a visual to her style:
Both runs are in pens she has never been before.
This run we won the 1D and was by far one of our best runs. Nice center gate, good run in and not extremely shallow ground but not deep. She really handled it well:

I just recently joined our local amateur rodeo association for the 2015 season because I want to get her more seasoned. The ground was really deep, esp around 2nd. Very short run to 1st and you couldn't see it in the alley. She went about a stride or two past the first and 2nd and on the 2nd dashboarded me a little because she kind of got stuck in the ground. She seemed to have a better 3rd, maybe she figured it out by then? And she is usually extremely ratey and I usually stay way off her face but as we approached the 1st I felt her not setting up.

Thank you all in advance! I look forward to your advice and hope this helps season my mare better.

I can't tell much from the videos :/
Your second video just looked like she came in a little lost and was just a little out of sorts the whole run because of it and was not 100% on her game.
As for helping her handle the ground, as long as your confident she is sound, all you can do it take her. Some horses are just a certain way when it comes to ground. You can pick the pens you know she likes and just be prepared when you know she's not going to like it.
If she runs like this every time you hit deep ground and runs by every time you might manually rate her in deep ground or even just sit and speak a little sooner or a little harder. Just make sure it's not a one time thing so you don't make a ratey horse a can crashing horse lol

Thank you
Yes we honestly don't have much of a rate cue. Because she is so ratey i sit, she turns. I usually only guide her around with my hand after that. I will just have to prepare my self in that type of footing or a pen she may not like that I'll have to help more to get her slowed down and around.

The first video she shortened her stride, the second video she didn't shorten.
I would teach the horse how to rate, shape, and how to keep her nose down.
