| Romans 12:2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
I started listening to the cd of "The Secret" book, it tells about like tv waves, that bring us tv, is like the waves in our thoughts that bring our thinking to behavior and attitude. and just like the tv channels we are able to change our thinking to transform our behavior.
What if the way to not copy the customs of this world, (greed, social climbing, etc) is to focus on Jesus? To open ourselves to the promise the part where God transforms us, changes our thinking and that change will transform our behavior.
Yes, our lives should be different, but not because we avoid certain sins and behaviors. They should be different because we engage in certain radical behavior, caring for others, compassion for each other, things Jesus told us to do.
Today, pray that Jesus "transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. What old ways of thinking and behaving will you have to let go of in order for that to happen?
"The Secret" book explains how our thinking process is like a magnet, whatever we think and think long enough, will draw from thinking to physical. The more negative thinking the more negative things will happen. and so with positive thinking draws positive things.
Moses longed for the glory of the Lord. He longed to dwell in the shadow of the Almighty. He sought hard after God and God knew him intimately. for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name Exodus 33:17 So when the time came for Moses to make his request to see the glory of God, he didn't have to make a case for how close he and God were. God knew him by name. Does God know your by name? In Exodus 33:17-23 we witness the exchange between Moses and God. The Lord granted Moses's request because Moses had found favor in His sight, and He caused His goodness to pass before Moses. Goodness is the word tuwb, meaning goods, good things, goodness, property, fairness, beauty, joy, and prosperity.
The Lord is abundant in goodness and is anxious to give good gifts to His children. God has laid up His blessings for us. If we know Him and He knows us, all we have to do is ask Him for it. I ASK, LORD, let be satisfied with good by the fruit of my mouth Proverbs 12:14, I RECEIVE, with my thoughts to focus on Jesus, to do all things that will glory and honor, I BELIEVE, Lord, show me the path of life ; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore Psalm 16:11
