Location: Alabama		Has anyone ever seen anything like this? It has supposedly been this way for years. There is an actual open hole.

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace		Yep.  Got one myself.  Smaller hole though.  With horses, sometimes letting things alone is better then the alternative.  We could easily do a bone graft surgery on my guy, but the risk of complete sedation and surgery are not worth it.  Having a small hole in his face right now isn't hurting anything.

Had a dog get rattlesnake bit on the side of his mouth. Never healed. He did just fine though. It left a 2 inch hole so he was a messy eater and drinker, but he kept his weight just fine. This dog was terrified of traveling so I had the vet come out. He said he would heal, just would always have the hole but since he was so terrified of travel, the vet recommended leaving it.
