Today is
I have a 10-year-old mare who is used in LOTS of different events. She is always kept updated on chiro, dental, and PMEF treatments. She is exercised but has poor confirmation in her stifles. We focus a lot of exercises on building the stifles up and working them in different ways. She DOSNT need to be on the equioxx DAILY! But it does give her some relief with performing with her stifles.
How manny days before a event do i need to give ?? for it to be fully kicked in and working ?
if I'm running on a Saturday, when to start giving in the week?
I would give loading dose Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and then morning of
:)
My vets protocol is 2 pills 3 days out, 2 pills the next day, followed by one pill from there on out daily.
3 day of a normal dose to get proper blood level

It's going to depend on your horse.
I have two of mine on Equioxx. For both of them, I can really tell that it has "kicked in" after about one week, and that's with starting the first day with the loading dose (three 57 mg tablets) and making sure they get one tablet every day thereafter.
So based on my experiences, I would tell you one week.
