My husband and brother in law are leaving for their annual Colorado trip Saturday morning. I always bake a couple of batches of brownies and couple dozen of muffins and pack them in disposable aluminum pans. My sister in law has decided to help with the "snacks" as well and is going to make a loaf or two of banana nut bread & homemade trail mix. I think the muffins will be a bit redundant, so I need suggestions for stuff they can just store easily.
Just needs to be something I can whip up in a couple of hours tomorrow morning!

Sausage balls --recipe on bisquick box. Super easy and travel well.
Bacon sausage rollups. Coctail sausage wrap in bacon. Fasten with toothpick. Sprinkle with lots brown sugar. Bake until bacon is done.

I have a recipe for a homemade protein bar. It's peanut buttery and approved by my anti-health food boyfriend. I started making them because they are calorie dense and quick to grab for him when he's on overnights at work and doesn't have time to sit down and have a real meal. GREAT for long weekend at barrel races too so I stay away from the cook shack...
