Location: In Ky following Barrel Races & Walker hounds. | We are in the process of remodeling our house and making it "home". I need some ideas for things I can do at home to liven it up a bit. My kitchen is full of rooster things with copper accents, my bathroom is sort of a "wilderness"/ cast iron accent based, our bedroom is going to be camo/hunting themed, and our living room is going to be race horses and will highlight my FILs racehorses and win photos/awards the horses he trained won.
I am wanting to add my photos I have taken(or can take) to the mix, but I dont just want to toss them in frames and hang them up. I would like to sort of customize things.
I would LOVE to make some lamp shades using race horse photos I took, for the living room. Not sure what to do in the kitchen. Our house is very old, and all of the cabinets are hand made, plain wooden cabinets that have been painted. No detail work, just flat. I don't know if I could take the doors off and somehow put photos I took of my moms roosters onto them and use a protective coating on them, but I would like to.
I am open to all ideas, not just ones using my photos. At home projects would be great, my husband and I love doing these things together.
Thanks!

| I watch Junk Gypsies and they decoupage ALOT. Maybe you could do that to your cabinet doors? |

| You should decoupage/modpodge the pictures onto things..
Also, see if you can find some old glass pane windows and put prints in them. We are doing that at our wedding. |
