| Every year my mother and I take my grandparents to Las Vegas during the NFR.
Each year we try and go somewhere with my grand parents outside of Vegas, so far we have been to
Fire in the Valley,
Death Valley
Grand Canyon
Red Rock Canyon
If anyone can give me ideas or places to research I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance |

| -Zion National Park about 2.5 hours north of Vegas. -Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam, Grand Canyon, Sound like you have probably done these. Now you know a 10 hour drive from vegas could get you to 10 different states and 2 countries right?

I know about Zion, but that is a trip I have to do without the grandparents as I want to hike up angels landing.
Seriously 10 hours can get me to 10 different states, never even would have thought of that. |

Location: Red Raiderland | Those pics are gorgeous! Yeah a 10 hour drive from Vegas is a loooong way. We take the motorhome out there from NE Texas every year and it takes us two solid days(10 hours a day driving) to get there. You could technically go to Albuquerque with that kind of time. I think we will go do the West Coast tour next summer and then back down through Tahoe. I gotta see that place! Oh and gamble. |

| Bryce Canyon National Park, a highlight of southern Utah. Like Zions, but less visitors, and more easily viewed even from a car.

Location: Montana | Β I was going to say Lake Powell/Page, AZ as well as that is a really pretty area. Within ten hours though...Shiprock, NM...that looks like a pretty area but I haven't been there myself. I was going to mention Crater Lake in Oregon but I'm not sure it would be accessible in December. I really like the Grand Canyon and could visit it pretty much any time I'm in the area. Green River, Utah area is pretty too. Have fun! |

Location: the end of the rainbow | Whiteboy - 2014-09-09 3:28 PM So is Lehman Caves. Lehman cave is gorgeous but if the weather is bad it might be iffy getting there that time of year. But they have a cool old steam train in Ely that you can ride while you are there

Location: Idahome | What time of year are you going? Cedar mountain is beautiful. Grew up going there by Panguitch Lake. Panguitch is a cool little town too. Driving through Brian Head WITHOUT snow on the ground is also beautiful and a cool little town. Made that trip this summer. All about 2.5 hours from Vegas.
ETA: If you are going within the next week or two, I wouldn't recommend these as I15 is shut down right now from the floods. You can take the long way around through southern NV, but it is ugly and desolate.
