| Hi - i need a few ideas for how to get this boy to hustle. Even with this "dinking" we are still sitting in the top of the 3D but i know he has a few more gears. i have him on great feed and Lixotinic.
He was diagnosed the morning of the first run with a "sore" suspensory. He was ultrasounded and showed no damage and the swelling had gone down from the night before with Surpass/wraps. I have given him a few weeks off to recover but wondered if anything in his run looks liek he has suspect hock issues. it has come up in many discussion with a few different vets but I dont want to just inject unless i know there is a reason. I have x-rays of his hocks but they are a year old and i dont know what i am looking at. I can add them if anyone wants to take a peak. I know some of you experts can tell quickly if you see hocks soreness. If he's not sore, i need advice on "getting him stoked"!
He doesnt run past or dive so i know once i get him to RUN, he will be amazing. He is Zan Parr Bar bred and i have read they can be lazy. I assume you would call him a push style. What are some training tips to get him energized?
Here is his first run from out State Finals in August - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkHJKIjPQmw&feature=youtu.be

| The first run you lost a lot of time on your turns, they weren't smooth.
The second run the turns were a little better, but pockets may be a little big as each stride costs time, he can also smooth up these turns.
What is the conditioning regime, do you sprint, as it looks like he is out of wind at the end, this could also be a sign of a bleeder. |

he isn't a bleeder. we have been limited on the size of the pattern we practice. i think that contributes to him not knowing how to run between barrels. we are starting to sprint now. we are a little limited on the space for that too. |

| I agree that it looks like he's out of steam getting to the end. Do you ever breeze him? Also, stop shaking your hand up and down when you're running home. |

Ok - i'll stop.....its always weird to watch and see the odd things you are doing. i wish bad habits were as easy to break as they are to start! I just recently started breezing him. think that will encourage him to run and build stamina? |

| How old is he? Why are you thinking to inject hocks? |
