Location: Arkansas | This run is last sat. at the Lucky Dog in Texarkana, AR and it's the best she's ever run 16.494. I know it's not perfect and still needs work but i am so proud of the progress she has made in such a short period of time. Thanks to those of you who posted and gave me pointers of what to work on.....it's working.

No i'm using the Simplicity with the chain center piece smooth on each side mouthpiece since she is so light mouthed. I think you could actually hold on to the saddle horn with both hands and run her with shifting your weight in the saddle and using your feet, that is if anyone was talented enough to do that......it won't be me, but she is that sensitive and was trained with those "buttons" so basically it's me learning how to ride her. Several people on here suggested lots of slow work and that's what we've been doing, no running at home just slow work. She had never even been to an indoor pen with the loud music and loud announcer, oh and the 3 tractors behind the screens at the far end of the pen on the first night almost made her do the splits on the way to the third barrel, but the second day she didn't even pay them any attention at all. |

| That looked much cleaner! Good job! I think that if you just give her a little more room going into it and take her about 1' deeper, that would clean it up do she is coming out beside the barrel inside of coming out wide like she did. That would cut a lot if time off. You should be very proud if yourself!!!! Nice job!!! |

Oops! I should have clarified that my comment was about 1st only. I wouldn't change anything on 2nd and 3rd. They both looked great! |

Yep...i knew which barrel you were talking about. Thank you for your help. I wasn't sure i could ride her, but now i know we can do this. I let her previous owner trail ride her last Sunday and she enjoyed it, pretty sure we're going again this weekend. To me she is still her momma since she trained her, i just own and jockey her around the barrels. |
