| Found an add that said this was the reason gelding is not registered. Is this true? Add includes papers of mare and stud (if telling the truth), has some wll known breeding. I would think they would have registered as a foal to verify breeding, horse is now 5.

If appendix "bred", that depends. A horse can be appendix bred, but could have gotten a ROM and been advanced to regular registry. If that is the case, then yes, the offspring can be registered. (Even if the other parent still had appendix papers.) Hence the reason there are horses that are AQHA registered that are actually 7/8ths (or MORE) TB.. |

What does it take to "advance" papers after acquiring an ROM?
Case in point= Hoofs In Motion's filly< Sire JKT Frenchmans Bux, Dam Jettin Katelyn. JKTFB's dam has her ROM(maybe not)
So how difficult would it be to get his "full" AQHA papers? Can they get them postmothously for the mare (if she is deceased)?

Location: Desert Land | If horse is registered as an Appendix and received it's ROM - the owner of that horse has to send the papers back to AQHA with the fee and a statement from a vet that the horse is not a cryptorchid or have a parrot mouth and AQHA will advance it's papers. |
