Can anyone give me some info about the arena at the Lavaca Expo Center? How big? Center gate? What is the usual set up for pattern? Long run to first barrel?

Center alley. Ground isn't deep at all. When I have went it isn't a long run to the first. 16.0 is I think what won it when I went last year.

Wrapn3 used to run there, and we would have it set sometimes for a high 15 to win it, or a low 15 to win it.
The ground can be really tricky there. Renee always had it prepped right but other producers have not done as well with it.

Thanks for the info. Granddaughter is going to the THSRA Founders rodeo there in October and I am excited about going there.

Back from Hallettsville with a grandmother's brag and it was great. A very nice facility and the people there were very nice. All of the competitors were extremely good. Several 19 second pole runs. Super fast goat runs.
My granddaughter won the long go in the barrels, placed 3 is the short go and won the average. Sooooo excited for her. Big sister was 7th in the long go, won the short go and 2nd in the average in the breakaway. My girls rocked. So proud of them.

Aw, we were there too! My daughter got an invite in the poles. It wasn't her best run but she had a 21.9 and that wasn't near fast enough for that show! It was awesome just to be a part of it though.
Congrats to your g-girls. They were awesome!

Thanks. I believe this was the first year for this invitational rodeo and it was awesome. All of the regions are so tough. I have heard people say they are going to a different region because they think it might be an easier, but I don't think there is an easy region in any event.
Those pole benders were really, really good. The number 10 girl ran a 21 in the first round and came back in the short round with a 19. Wow.
