| Yall make me crazy. I dont have a horse to run right now. It will kill me to miss it. I could stay with friends but will not drive 500 miles just to watch for a week. Stay home work and make money. |

And what hook up number is Skeet... he needs to share this gumbo with his AL03 friends!!!
Weather looks like it's gonna be Amazing! 70 in the day, 40's at night. Bring both warm and cold stuff!
I don't care how many years I go, I still feel like it's Christmas! Can't wait!!! |

Location: South Central Florida | Tonight I'm bagging up the feed. I like to put the feed in individual bags with the suppliments in them, then just dump a bag into the feed bucket...that way who ever is feeding, everything stays the same. Also packing the trailer and washing leg wraps. My daughter usually does all this, or has for the past few years but her place flooded in September and all the horses and trailer came here. I'm enjoying it though. Look forward to the trip. |

Location: East TN | Yes!! I've heard the weather is supposed to be SOO nice all week!! :)
I do need opinions though... do you all typically wrap for the haul? I know for summer months, I saw people debating on whether or not the horses tendons would get too hot while wrapped... but since it will be so cool...what are your all's opinions? |

Some I do some I don't. My mare will get wrapped but that's bexUse she will swell up and get stiff and sore. But I'm only 4hrs from Perry. My others won't get wrapped |

Location: Huffman, Texas | i have never wrapped mine, seem to do just fine..Hopefully we have the same campsite as we did for youth world, which is if u come directly out from the arena from the 2nd barrel side, walk past the first street that does into the barn on the left, go to the left fence and we were then under a huge huge tree.. i wanna say like 352, is where we should be.. |

This is the one time a year I do wrap. I really should wrap every time I haul, but I don't. But when you've spent this much on entries and worked hard all year for something I don't want to get there, unload and have a lacerated coronary band. So my boy will be in boots, bells, and a sheet Saturday.
Just a note about temps. I work for a university vet hospital as an equine vet tech and we wrap legs even in 110 degrees. Bandages should be reset at least every 24 hours, and if they are wet or dirty they need to be changed out completely. Wrapping will help keep any swelling from confinement down as well as provide support. Just be sure you have adequate padding under your wraps. |
