Location: ND | i didn't think it was still in existence.....
i forgot the difference between NFQHA and FQHR....has to do with what they consider 'foundation' in their percentages.....NFQHA is more of a NW thing and FQHR southeaternrn rocky mountain, texas thing.....
seemed to me to be a place that breeder with colored, linebred stallions that didn't really amount to anything real great could find a home selling foundation percentages....... |

| It looks like they have events that are limed to FQHR horses, so maybe that is the only real benefit, to be able to participate in those events. |

correct......there is a small market still for that........i can't speak to badly about those registries....they really started out of frustration with the AQHA and probably have been influential in some of the changes AQHA has made....not that that has been a bunch, but some.... |

Location: Peg-Leg Julia Grimm | Completely irrelevant to me. I don't give a hoot about what 100% of some people *think* are foundation. If you know the history of quarter horses, a huge % of the foundation horses WERE thoroughbred. The elimination of TB from the breeding pool as they are doing is not a favor to using horses. Without regular infusions of speed the breed gets stagnant and is about as fast as a shetland.
