I am curious to know if anybody on here has ever heard of this homemade drawing salve. A friend of mines grandfather used it on his racehorses back in the day. It is made from a mixture of turpentine, baking soda and lard.

lol yeah. she swears by this stuff. Her family calls it "Pawpaws Salve" I finally asked her what exactly was in it and that was the list she gave me. She wont give up the recipe tho. I had to ask what the lard was for and she said its basically there just to make it creamy.

It sounds like it draws heat out.... I'm curious if anyone has ever heard of a poultice made of Comfrey.
