I'm gonna say it will feed 4-6 people depending on size of bowl you use.

I know this sounds crazy but one time I had so much yellow squash I used it in place of the potatoes and it was out of this world too.

It freezes well too just remember that. I also add some ham or bacon to it because that's me. Also, I use cream of celery or cream of onion soup instead of cream of chicken. Even my super picky husband likes this soup.

I will boil my potatos chopped up until tender. Then drain water and add heavy cream or milk to cover potatos completely. Add a few table spoons of butter. I will chop up half an onion, some carrots, and frozen spinach or any frozen veggie really. make sure temp is on very low. Cover and simmer. I usually add any type of cheeses I have at the end. Is great over cornbread or toasted french bread. I have even added can corn before. As long as your potatos boil first before you add milk or cream you can add anything after that. Its also great to add browned bacon and green onion over soup!!!!!!!

Me and my family are also trying it tonight. I am taking advice from another poster and adding bacon into mine. It sure smells yummy.
Does anyone know if you cook it on low or high ?
