Location: GODS country | Lets see your TB broodmares! Who have you been breeding yours to? I have heard that TB mares cross really well on Dash Ta Fame stallions.
Do you have a hard time keeping weight on them? |

Location: OH | This is our only TB mare and she has been a great producer for us. We ran her in her younger years and she made 20 some thousand on the track. She is pretty much TB royalty being by Clever Trick and out of a daughter of Rahy. I bred her to TB's at first but couldn't get the babies to run any distance so we started breeding her to QH and it has really worked well. Not much of a picture of her but she is a nice one. As far as the weight, I actually have to regulate her feed or she gets too fat.

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | This is Bluffin Rail. She was a gritty mare that raced here. After watching her a couple times at the track and seeing the size of her heart, I had to have her. She is a sprinter with over $92,000 in earnings. Herbie has her yearling filly and Della is supposed to get her weanling. Her 2 year old is the one the trainer sent home starved. She coliced the next day and died. She mostly stays in this condition on pasture. She drops in the winter and I have to feed her grain then. I've only bred her to El Scorcho. I may send her to a TB at some point, but I'm overall happy with her and Scorcho together.

| I'm a bad mom and don't have any good pictures of my girl, but I am absolutely loving what she's throwing when crossed on QH's. She was a sprinter and won around $56k on the track. She's a granddaughter of Secretariat and Majestic Prince as well. I have yearling Chasin Firewater filly out of her that I just adore and sold her Pappasito filly from this year before it hit the ground. She's thoroughly enjoying retirement now :) http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/keep+a+secret4

| Here is my mare last spring I have better pictures but for some reason can't find them. She was in race training but due to a death her owner did not run her. She is a granddaughter of Allydar and 36 Red. I love the way she moves , she didn't settle last year so hoping she carries this year. She is in foal to a son of Special Leader out of a Streaking Six daughter. She can be a little tough to keep weight on but not bad I just got to keep a little extra in front of her .

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | They used to be a dime a dozen at the Heritage Place, and I mean that in a good way (strange though it sounds). There were some really nice built ones with pedigrees that were unfashionable to the big TB breeders. Some were very sweet, and built like most QH's. 15.2 1250 lbs. Those were my ideal ones. They also shouldn't have any issues with weight. I have had as mny QH's have weight issues that were thin made and gangly, just get the right kind of TB and you would be set. |

Location: Washington. (The DRY side.) | Here are some of the TB mares I had (And their babies.). I sold them all a few years ago. I didn't have trouble keeping weight on any of them. (Even though some were aged. The one below was 18 in the pic and on pasture only.) All of the babies are by my QH stallion. Except for the one pictured as a 2yo AND as a baby. She is by the same QH stallion as my guy. http://www.pedigreequery.com/gold+currency

(That's not his dam in the picture with him. He is out of the mare above.)

This is the filly below as a 2yo.

I crossed mine on Chasin Firewater (that is the colt I posted pictures of), and I had a TON of people interested in her, but I just can't part with her. I couldn't have built a nicer horse. I'm biased of course, but I can't fault her. She seems to favor Chasin a lot, with her mom's height a long underline. I'd make that cross again in a heartbeat, but my mare had some trouble foaling this year, so she's officially retired. |

Love that mare!
Is El Scorcho an accredited LA bred stallion? I always liked that horse, just couldn't stand where he stood in TX, then I lost track of him when he left that farm. I am glad you have him here in Louisiana. |

| I'll try to post mine. She's new. I have had her a week. She was neglected and forgotten about by her previous owner so bad feet, skinny ect. He said when she's kept up with she's an easy keeper. I believe it because she's put on weight already. She is a daughter of Relegate (TB) and a Special Effort/ Jet Deck QH mare. 10yo. |
