You don't think that finding your 'dream' horse for sale and calling about him/her to find out she's already sold isn't you idea of fun?!?
Or vetting one and finding problems your not willing to deal with isn't fun?!?

Location: CA | I sure hope so. Seen a few photoshopped pictures, drove 3 hours and was amazed at what I found. Now there are a bunch of really nice looking horses but they are spred out all over the state. Sigh.... road trip time. |

I got very burned on my last purchase that managed to pass a vet check just to find out after shipping him here that he has navicular. Found out later the previous owner knew. Was the vet check rigged, who knows. I am so over liars/cheats.

There is one state I won't even consider buying a horse. I [aid for a 1500 vet check at the university and got a cripple. can't be fixed cripple

| I agree. Everyone thinks that their horse is a winner and why don't you buy him? I spent several years looking and rode more dinks than decent horses and left a bunch of mad sellers in my wake because I didn't buy their hot headed, half broke, under fed or over weight little darling..... I mean that he will be a 1D horse one you get him in shape, get some feed in him, pull the loose shoe and trim the rest of his feet, and finish getting him broke so you can fix that little gate/2nd barrel problem.... |

Location: CA | I don't even want them started on barrels. I just want them broke and sound. lol Seems that should be easy enough. I have 5 to go look at when the weather lets up. Of course they are all over the state. :) I don't mind looking, I just don't like people lieing to me. Usually I have a pretty goood BS detector. |

I had a gal leave so mad. I saw her ride and my horse deserved better so told her he wasn't going to be a good fit at all. But if I would of sold him to her and he didn't work out would of been all my fault.

Location: Oklahoma | Well, I was going to tell you to look at mine, but they're all started on barrels, so never mind. :) I do agree that there is a big difference in what people consider broke. I don't want mine so soft that they hide their face when you touch the reins, but I do want one to know what I'm doing when I put a foot in them, or when I lift my hand to tip their nose. I'm not strong these days and I don't want to have to pull on one. I want them light. The last horse I was told was light meant that he would fit any bit you put on him. smh Just go look, and if you don't like them, say thank you very much, but I don't think he/she is going to fit what I'm looking for, and leave. I would rather have someone do that than spend the whole day riding and then just never contact me again. :) |
