Ok two parts to this post. What do you recommend doing when there. Also....I have my temporary ID because me being stupid lost my ID 3 weeks before I leave. Anyone have experience with this. I know Bars and Casinos in Reno will take your temporary as well as another form of ID (ie School ID). Just need to be prepared if I'm 100% screwed

As far as temporary ID- I'd just use a passport as a form of ID.

If you are flying you must have a "government issued photo ID" in order to get through security and board the plane.

During the day, the trade shows at the Convention Centre, Mandalay Bay, MGM, the roping at Southpoint are great. There are lots of great little shops on the strip to poke through. At night, obviously the rodeo, but if you aren't going to the rodeo every night there are lots of bars and casino's that show it on the big screens. MGM was pretty busy so we went down and watched it at Gilly's Bar one night last year. Also, if you're like me and don't get to cities often, just walking down the strip at night is very entertaining, the lights, the Bellagio Fountains are beautiful, the volcano at the Mirage, human statues, everywhere you look something is happening... The architecture of the buildings and casinos is amazing. We are going to watch the tournament of Kings this year at the Excalibur. My husband wants to go to Toby Keith bar, and see Big and Rich, and I'd like to get to Fremont Street if possible too. So much to do and only 5 days, I can't wait!
