| I am looking into buying a broodmare (I am not posting the mare's name/direct pedigree due to some privacy of the mare I'm looking at), and I am wondering who you would breed her to for 2015. So this is strictly off of these lines.
She is by Okey Dokey Dale (First Down Dash x Zevi), and her dam side is Appendix, has Merridoc dam's side, sprinter TB on dam-sire side.
So currently I'm looking at On A Gator, Sailin Corona, Crush, Nonstop Firewater, and Jess Special.
All of you are a lot better at match making than I am, so who would you breed her too, just off lines alone. This is hypothetical, and I love all of your opinions.
Thanks in advance, y'all. |

| I would personally stay away from crossing an ODD on a Royal Quick Dash. Now I love RQD. The ODD horses tend to be a little hot. Cross them on RQD and you have a horse that will probably be super athletic and pretty fragile minded. I have one already so I'm speaking from experience. I love mine. She will be awesome eventually but she wouldn't be a horse just anyone could get by. I'd look into something that throws a very quiet mind. Firewater Finale (mainly because of the Bully Bullion and Easy Jet breeding on his bottemside). Honors A Bounding would also be good. |

| Thank you! Firewater Finale was one I ran into after posting that I really liked, so he's on the short list as well. I never really knew that ODD were hot, all the ones I know are broodmares so they are pretty mellow, I just know they throw good looking babies. So thanks for telling me that. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | Based on personal experience, my ODD grandaughter did great coming out of a SB mare. Very even tempered. Maybe Shawne Bug Leo |

His owner has a ODD in her broodmare band and they cross NICE! [=
I have a stud colt by him who is a dream come true.
I also absolutely love El Scorcho.
I don't know of any ODD daughters he's crossed with, but he is throwing some gorgeous babies. They are quick learners and very athletic!
I have a gelding by him who has been the easiest OTT horse I've ever worked with. He is SO level headed. Moves like a pleasure horse and can turn up the gears and FLY when you ask him too. My daughter rides him daily. So, if you are looking to better your chances of getting a foal that is not fragile minded.. He's definitely one to consider! |

Location: TX | Shawne Bug Leo did breed to an ODD mare this year! We love the FDD cross with Leo. We would love to see your mare with him. He has a puppy dog disposition so we have had everything from calm mares to extremely hot mares with him and his babies have been amazing. The babies by him are ranging from unbroke 2 year olds selling at $10,000 up to $15,000. He just had the 2nd highest selling 2 year old in the Texas Best Barrel Futurity Sale this past month. He sired 2011 and 2014 NFR Qualifier, Heza Bug Leo, 2014 LG Triple Crown Incentive Winner Fame on the Bottom, 2014 Open 1D and 2D money earners, Aces Bug Leo, Sugar Bug Baby, Shawne Sneaky Bug, Heza Another Bug Leo, Tee J Jackie Bug, etc. His babies are on the rise!!!! |

Location: NE Texas | I am IN LOVE with my filly by El Scorcho (own son of Streakin Six x daughter of Tinys Gay). Lots of young horses have come through here over the years and every time I mess with this filly I'm blown away at how good minded she is, how quickly and willingly she picks things up, and not to mention she's showing a lot of athleticism. I'd have a barn full of them if I could! |
