TXBO and Hotbear I think we need to make a trade - I'll bring my dogs down to TX to hunt with you if you can find a piece of land and then you can come to Idaho and hunt pheasant, quail, and Hungarian partridges behind my dogs.

HotbearLVR - 2014-12-02 5:37 PM Beautiful dog

Beautiful country

Beautiful shotgun

Does it get any better than that?  Thanks for sharing!

I've always owned flushers, but there's nothing more exciting than hunting behind a good, seasoned pointer.

TxBO tell me about bird hunting in Texas.

Thanks Doc.  Friends of ours just got a Spring Spaniel pup and she is a looker - anxious to see how she fares in the field.  In the meanwhile - loving these Wirehaired pointers!

Rufus is beautiful!  Me thinks he needs to hunt - there is nothing neater than watching one hold a point like that!  Pretty dog!

Sounds awesome.  When I lived in Arizona I used to trade hunts with a lot of people.  It was 73% public land at the time and I spent many hours in the spring and summer scouting mearns, gambels, and scaled quail.  Never had anybody disappointed with their hunt.  I haven't had the same luck in TX yet.

I would love to, it wouldnt take much to have all 3 at point. The mother would point at turkeys in the trees when I took her with me out on the trails. Ist a hoot when storks and that land in the pasure. They freeze right up and try to creep up on them.
