The last place I worked for 18 years I had to work 7-3=8 hours a day 7 days a week I had to work 3 weekends in a row to get one off... Unless I used a vacation day on a Monday or Friday then I would get the weekend off. Luckily there are a lot of barrel races at night during the week here in Oklahoma... And for the most part we would have to wait for the temp to drop to ride anyway... SO NO I never worked a part time job didn't need to since the OT at this job was plenty.

Where I work the office is on a strict 40 hour work week if you are hourly.  Pretty much no overtime.  Up until about April I was working 45-50 hours a week and it sucked to lose that time and a half pay.

It depends on the month/season. During show season I will work about 60 hours a week but when it's not I work 35-40 hours a week.

I work teacher hours which equates to getting her at 7:05 on average, leaving at 3:30 to go home and check papers, sometimes meetings that run until 4:30 or 5.

Summers off help, but it seems those keep getting shorter and shorter. In the past I've worked summer jobs, and I'm thinking about doing it again, but it's hard convincing myself to do that!

I work 40 hours per week at my full-time job.  I am salary, so there's no incentive to work more hours, but I do frequently take work home with me.

As a part-time job, I do the books for a contractor.  Right now, this only takes me about 1-2 hours per week to process payroll and all of their transactions, but from what they've been telling me, they want to increase what I do for them in 2015, so I suspect I will soon be working 5-10 hours per week for them.

My friend and I are also starting a direct sales beef company that will hopefully "go live" in January 2015 when we get our first steer processed.  I have no idea how many hours per week that will take up once we are actually in business, but right now we've been spending 2-3 hours per week on planning.

If you have any skills that you could market as a freelancer, you will make more money and have more control over your hours.  With my schedule, I still have plenty of time to do whatever I want.  The only deadline I have is with payroll on Wednesdays - has to be entered by 7pm for them to be paid on Friday.

MissouriJen I sent you a pm

I tried the full time thing a couple years ago. First of all, they started me at 8AM, then moved me to 5AM. I'm not an early morning person and my horses weren't getting ridden because I came home cranky and exhausted every day. I didn't have a good season this year on horseback so I currently need to find a part time job.
