I would be more interested in a DTF horse if it were crossed with FG. DTF are great and very sucessful but personality wies (from most I have been around) they just arent my type of pony. FG on the other hand, I feel I can better get along with. Either way..two great lines.

This is the breeding on my coming 2 yo stud colt. He is unbelievably smart, but as laid back and kind as can be. I think his bottom side compliments the DTF nicely.

DTF x FG is one of the best crosses. I am breeding a FG daughter to DTF in 2015, I can't wait!!

There are lots out there with that cross. Some are way nicer than others. Be careful because it is probably the hottest cross on papers which means anything with balls is going into stud service, without any regard for any other area besides pedigree. I can guarantee there are going to be a lot of really crappy horses with that cross on the top of their papers. Which is a shame because it looks so pretty on paper.

I though of this one of the things I was looking at was performance. This stud is getting ready to futurity..

That may be true for some...but that is NOT how I roll. I had a very nice stud colt who is the whole package - but he was getting a stallion attitude at only 6 months of age. 2 weeks ago he got snipped. Every colt to date that I have raised has been gelded. They have to be the whole package or they are getting cut - bloodlines alone does not equal stallion prospect to me.
