Goin' on the Warpath Posts: 1386 Location: IN	Has anyone ever had a horse eat the hay netting on their bale and cause problems? I know a lot take the netting off and a lot don't. I never have. Famous for Not Complaining Posts: 8848 Location: Broxton, Ga	Saw a post earlier this year a girls horse with colic ........took the horse to vet ended up having to do surgery......found the hay netting material in the horse....showed pics of material.....she did not survive after surgery........the owners HAD NOT feed any round rolls since they had purchased her 1 1/2 years prior to the colic.........go figure did the netting material stay in the mare that long and then cause a problem.........reckon it could have.........I would remove the netting........
