Location: Back Creek Valley!!! | Since we couldn't make it to the NFR, we r pushing towards the American in March. Never been to Texas. Planning to fly in on Friday and fly out on Monday. Can anyone give us advise on where to stay, or what we will need to know. Thanks in Advance. |

Location: somewhere in the south | There's a motel right across the street, can't remember the name but we stayed there, as did alot of other American viewers, and it wasn't anything fancy but nice folks and continental breakfast. We walked across the street to the show and didn't have to fight traffic!! It was a great place! Just google the stadium and look at the satellite view and you should be able to find it.............. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | We live in that area. There are tons of hotels around there because the stadium is right next to Rangers Stadium and Six Flags too. Lots of shopping in that area as well. The Fort Worth Stock yards are worth your time for a night. The Candlelight Inn is also a really affordable, really yummy Mexican food place very close to the stadium. |

Location: Texas | Honestly I would stay in Ft. worth or dallas. Straight drive to the cowboys stadium from both places and Arlington can be kind of dicey sometimes, and not much to do minus six flags. Dallas arboretum and aquarium are both pretty cool. Ft worth has a nice zoo. Both have great restaurants. Definitley have to try Torchy's taco's if you like queso! Ft. worth if you wanna do more western stuff Dallas if you want more city/night life! You can pm with any questions. I basically live in dallas with my parents but my apartment at school is 20 minutes from Ft. Worth. I know both areas really well |

Location: Down South | We went last year, drove there because we are only 8 hours away. We stayed at the Knight's Inn in Arlington. It's across the interstate (if I remember correctly) from Six Flags. The motel wasn't fancy by any means and wasn't new. But it was remodeled, clean and affordable. $55 night plus tax. They had a continental breakfast each morning which was basic but good and also a shuttle to the rodeo. We did not take the shuttle because the timing when it ran would have dropped us off at the stadium a little more than 1.5 hours before the doors open. That would've been ok if it hadn't been freezing, sleeting and snowing.!! (the day before it was 70ish degrees). We arrived in Arlington on Friday afternoon before the rodeo. Did not go to the PBR event as it didn't interest us. We did enjoy touring the Stockyards at Ft. Worth and of course our favorite thing to do... EAT.! We ate at Cattlemen's at the Stockyards. The next night we ate at Salt Grass. I have to say that was by far the best meal I had while I was in TX and the drinks were good too. We did alot of driving around and sight-seeing. Visited Teskey's in Weatherford. That's definitely an item you want to add to your list. Wow.! Whatever you need equine wise...they have it.! Enjoy your trip..! Maybe I'll run into you because my crew is definitely going back.! :)

Location: N Texas | Fort Worth is better than Dallas, as far as traffic and the people. The historic Stockyards are in Fort Worth, which is a really neat place to visit if you have time. They also have the Cowgirl Hall of Fame and Museum. I HATE driving around in Dallas. The traffic is a nightmare and people are so rude.
Arlington is right between the two, so it's really up to you what you'd prefer to do. Fort Worth is more for country/low-key people and Dallas is more urban/modern/hipster/whatever. Obviously this is just a generalization, but I'm not a fan of Dallas at all. |

Location: Texas | Dress in layers.js.Last year we froze our A$$e$ off. It might be 70, or it might be 15. And they wouldn't open the doors until the exact time that was posted, so we stood out in the blizzard waiting for the doors to open, open, open....Once you are inside, it is cozy and warm. Have fun! its a blast! |

What kind of queso??? And other than Teskeys and cowtown- where is the shopping everyone is talking about (western-wise)?? We stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast literally 3 blocks away- it was very nice and affordable to boot! |

Their queso has guacamole in it! And then one of there own saces... It is just a bowl of really good queso with a scoop of guacamole and then the sauce on top, not all mixed together. It's been voted the best in dallas more times then I can tell you. There's one in Ft. Worth and then a couple in Dallas. Then they just have different kinds of street tacos. Pretty neat little place. Davids in Weatherford is good if you're already out there for Teskey's. The Teskey's in Ft.Worth is nothing like the one in Weatherford. Smith Brothers out by Denton is nice... I can't really think of a lot of western shopping all in the same area outside of ft. worth... Jeff Smith's in terrell, horse and rider is out by mckinney. Nothing is really close though. |

We have been to all those places except Jeff Smith and the horse and rider place. Are they worth the drive? Thanks for the taco place- we will make that happen! |

Best Mexican food is a little Family owned resturant.. :
Ojeda's, you can only drink 1 top self Margarita 
awesome fajitas and enchiladas. ( 1 in Desoto and 1 in Dallas)
