Location: Texas | My husband bought me a Kindle Fire HD 7 for Christmas and I absolutely love it. He has an older version of the Kindle Fire from around 2011 and it still works perfectly. I definitely give the Kindle Fire two thumbs up.

Thank you.....I just ordered my husband one this morning. I didn't want to invest too much in one since he will use it mostly for reading. I had considered the Samsung Tab 4 but it was $40 more and the reviews were not great. |

Location: Missouri | I realize you get what you pay for, and I don't know if you are shopping for yourself or a child, so take this with a grain of salt.
Last Christmas I wanted to get my children tablets but no way were they in the budget. A friend has two of the Nextbook tablets (from Walmart, $99) and gets along great with them. So, I bought both my kids these tablets - they are teenagers, and the tablets are still going strong. I'm sure they aren't as nice as the higher end ones, but they do all two teenagers want them to do. I know both download books to them, check email, games, etc. For $99 I'm seriously impressed with them. |

If you are thinking of buying a Kindle Fire HD, On Amazon, the 7" is on sale for $114 and the 6" is on sale for $99 until Dec. 24th. The HDX is on sale too but I can't remember the price. |

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | I have a Kindle Fire that i really like but never use since we dont have internet at the house and we have been super busy. But its a great tablet.
I needed a windows 8.1 tablet for work, not the RT. I was dreading javing to shell out the 999 for a surface. But then i found the Lenovo yoga tablet 2 for must 349 and absolutely love it
