| This has been happening for a while now but recently, it has flared up again to the point i'm walking like a cartoon character.
My spine between my hip bones feels really sore/out/weak etc. I have to lay on the floor to get relief, and forget about sitting on wooden chairs, benches, or a soft bed. It does go away if I baby it. Does anyone have this? |

| I DO!!!!!!! I just baby it until I feel better and try to avoid things that irritate it. Like riding in my husbands truck. LOL Carrying sacks of feed, throwing hay, riding a rough moving horse. I cant avoid it all the time but I try my best. |

| Yep, I go to a chiropractor that uses an Activator and adjusts me in the position that hurts the most. This time it was with me sitting down. Other times it is when I am standing up. Before using her the pain never went completely away, but with her method, the pain is completely gone in a week or two. If I have to I will go more than once a week. Usually within 2 weeks the pain/stiffness is gone and I am back to normal. |

| Its making me crazy. I'm trying to work and I have to do it almost laying down. Sometimes I wonder if having five epidurals over the last twenty four years damaged the nerves. |

| You are not alone. I messed around with a chiropractor for months before I finally saw a medical doc. She sent me for x-rays and a MRI and it turns out I have a herniated disc at L5 and S1, which is right at the sacrum. Luckily, right now, no pinched nerve. If you have any pain radiating down your legs and/or numbness and tingling; it's a sign of a pinched nerve. Most of my pain is when sitting or standing in one place for long periods. I did some physical therapy which gave temporary relief, but the daily exercises do help. Stretching in the morn and before bed seem to help also. I am seeing a specialist this month to see what the next step is. My advice is don't wait too long to see a doctor and push them if they aren't aggressive with your treatment! Good luck! |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I have pain there occasionally. It's genetic. My mom has arthritis in that joint and got mucho relief from PRP. If it's really bad, that's an option, if you can find a doc to do it. |

| This kind of pain was a constant companion for a lot of years. I can slide a bag of ice down the back of my pants on bare skin. In fact, I highly recommend it! That and a chiropractor (who should take xrays to determine the type of injury/wear and tear you have got going), or a doctor (with whom I have had zero luck with).
Turns out I am missing the little tabs on the side of my L5 vetabrae that kepp it in place. It has slipped forward as much as 30%....last xray at the hospital had it at about 25%. This causes major instability to the sacrum, pelvis and lower spine. Thankfully it has fused from arthritis and does not move anymore but everything above and below it move in painful ways. Of course barrel racing does not help the matter......
Go get yourself diagnosed!! Take care of yourself woman!!! |

| Get X-rays and then get regularly adjusted by a good chiro. I have scoliosis and degenerative disk disease and fusing vertebrae in my lower lumbar that causes major pain in my sacrum area. Chiro and specific physical rehab and maintenance has been my answer. |

Location: Hill Country of TEXAS!! | Tens machine has done wonders for me lately. I dont leave home without them! I bought one from LG SMART and use it when i start to get tight muscles. There are some stretches/exercises to strengthen that area that work but i never do them :/ I recently had to go to my family dr and ask for muscle relaxers and heavy pain meds that my chiropractor has been trying to get me to take for years.. I finally got so locked up i couldnt move, get in or out of bed, sit down, stand up, walk, etc. The muscle relaxers after a high dose for 3 days finally kicked in (i have a ridiculously high tolerance for meds that make normal meds not work) with the pain meds and i got some relief after a few weeks with adjustments. Im avoiding surgery like the plague!!! WORD OF ADVICE-- Stay active, ride horses. The more you sit around or dont do much is when that will get worse. |

Location: stray dump capital of the world | I fractured mine along with my coccyx and pelvis almost 2 years ago. I got injections in the beginning, and I do exercises to strengthen my back. I also try to stay active when I have a flair up because not moving makes it worse. Now that my bones are healed, I'm considering going to a chiropractor. I've never used one, but my friends swear by them. It's amazing how much that lil bone can control your life. |
