If you had placed your horse with a broker  and said broker was turning off potential buyers by being extremely rude. Would you want to know?
I'm kind of torn because normally I would just walk away and never think about it again, but this "broker" was so rude I keep thinking if I had placed my horse with her I would want to know why my horse wasn't selling.  But then again I have never used a broker. Trainers yes but maybe their is a difference when you use a broker and you just don't want the hassle of selling the horse.

In short, yes I would want to know. I wouldn't like it because things like that bother me, but I would want to know.

I would definitely want to know and I would be very angry if the broker I placed my horse with was turning off potential buyers. And if someone turned me on to that, I would be grateful. However, I would mind my own business if I saw that with someone else's broker and horse, unless it was a friend. You don't know how they will take it. It could easily be construed as gossip.

Bug Is Alive - 2014-12-27 7:12 PM First of all, I would never send my horse to a broker I didn't know and trust.  The only way to not have this problem is homework and research.  It's easy to weed out the bad eggs, but yes, I would want to know so I could get my horse inot the hands of someone with better people skills.

I don't think it is that easy to weed out the bad eggs. Do your homework? not so easy, especially since everyone is so mind your buisness and don't gossip

Go pick up your horse and find someone that you can trust, I would be looking into the trainers in your area, ask around and see who trust's who.

I may want to know, but not necessarily by you, an individual buyer.  How would I know that the broker was in fact rude or of it was just your interpretation?  I would take one complaint with a grain of salt.  But if I heard of several conplaints....

So if you are trying to decide whether or not to tell the owner, be careful how ou do it.  Remember its your interpretation.  What one person may find rude, someone else may not.

It wasn't the ops horse. She was wondering if she should notify the owner.

Is this a horse you are still interested in? If so, you could contact the owner and tell them you're very interested, but would like to deal with them directly instead of the broker.

I understand this line of thinking, however "as the owner of the horse", you could then do some research & find out if there are in fact others who have been treated the same way. Especially if you wondered why your horse hadn't sold yet!
