American Qualifier #11-Does that mean only the top 9 qualifiers from each race go to the Semi-Finals
I received a flyer for an 11th American qualifier. According to the American "Guidelines"
http://www.bbrdata.com/Updater/uploads/The%20American/2015AmericanB...
Only 100 contestants will compete at the semi-finals. If there are 11 qualifiers, and they take the top 10, that is 110. Does anyone know the answer? Below is copied from the "guidelines". Hhhmmmm... Also, I wonder how many contestant entires have been "received" because as noted below, that also determines how many finalists will move on to the AT&T Stadium.
? Contestants may qualify twice for the Semi-Finals, however a contestant may not qualify more
than once on the same horse.
? If fewer than 650 total barrel racing qualifier entries are receive only the Top 5 Semi-Finalists
will move on to AT&T Stadium and the American Rodeo. 650-749 the Top 6 Semi-Finalists move
on. 750-849 the Top 7 Semi-Finalists move on. 850-949 the Top 8 Semi-Finalists move on. 950-
1049 the Top 9 Semi-Finalists move on. 1050 and above the top 10 Semi-Finalists will move on.
Semi-Finals
The Semi-Finals will consist of 100 contestants from the qualification races, plus the 2014 BBR World
Champion, the 2014 College National Finals Rodeo Champion, the 2014 High School National Finals
Rodeo Champion and the possible RFD-TV Exemption Match or Exemption contestant. These individuals
have already paid their $500 entry fee at the qualification races, so there is no entry fee. Not including
the possible RFD-TV Exemption contestants, 103 contestants will run one slack run. The top 20 times
from slack will proceed to the Semi-Finals ShootOut Round where they will be split into two sets of 10.

I only got through the first two sentences of above post. Then I started hearing butterflies and seeing noises.

so to ax another question, do you have to run the same horse that you qualify on?

No
And they are still taking 10 from each so that will be interesting.

I went to the link and when that was published there were only 10 qualifiers. They've added the one in Glen Rose the end of this month, so that gives us another 10, it's just they didn't update the rules. We'll have to let Destry know someone missed that.....I'm sure at this point he really isn't busy with anything else.
