Hey everyone, I need to put a good A/C unit with heat strip in my trailer. I am looking for the best places to get them from. I do not have any horse trailer dealerships close to get one from. Thanks in advance!

Find a good RV place they should be able to sell and install it for you.

Well yes, my trailer will be plugged in when using it. I have sleeping quarters already, just not an ac unit. I will have to check out an RV place to order and install one for me!

^^ This.   Also, I never use my heat strip - I use a small ceramic heater in my LQ. It heats better and it's not as noisy.

That's what I do as well! The heat strip in mine never was able to really keep up if it was under 50-55 degrees outside. I also put a plug-in heated mattress pad cover on the bed...talk about a lifesaver!

I contacted a local RV dealership and they have an AC unit they can install and the agreed with the heat strip...that a plug in space heater is better!

Our heat strip works great. It was 35 and raining this weekend and it was warm enough to bake cookies in our trailer.
