I have a 8 year old easy keeper that I compete on and is in moderate work and currently have her on Purina startegy healthy edge but am looking to switch to a higher quality feed that is also a fixed formula and was leaning towards the ADM feeds. What would you all recommend that is possibly comparable to the healthy edge?

I sell and use ADM on all our horses. We were on a professional Purina program when we had our breeding farm. Strategy is what we fed to everything but after selling our place and studying with the horse specialist at ADM, most of our horses get Patriot 14. No corn or starch, good fat content, and same bag to bag. You use less. Formulated to be used with forage. My broodies get Junior Glo and Patriot. My barrel horse gets Senior Glo and our older horses. Very satisfied selling it and using it. Great minerals also. ADM was Moormans.

My favorite is the Senior Glo. I would switch to that if you're currently on strategy HE

I feed SeniorGlo to the oldie and PrimeGlo to the other two. I love PrimeGlo because you feed such a small amount
(they get about 3 lbs a day
) and they look great. The 9 year old's topline has improved greatly since switching him over. They also have free choice hay. These are the only two ADM feeds I've tried and highly recommend them. It's a great product!
ETA: if he's an easy keeper, PrimeGlo is the way to go. It's much more economical than SeniorGlo because of feeding rates.

i agree primeglo. depending on how big your easy keeper is 3 pounds will give them all the vitamine minerals and electrolites needed and 3 pounds of primeglo is pretty much nothing..so 1 1/2 pound split into 2 feedings.. sounds pretty economical to me. were i live the prime glow is 21 ish a bag but i feed junior glow to my young horses because they need more calloires and the prime glow is too vit/min dense to feed enough for the callorie aspect safely. plus the min/vit content for the junior glow is aimed more for the growing horse.

Thanks for all the replys!! Keep them coming! I failed to mention I am also giving her red cell with her strategy HE because she is a bit on the lazy side and it defidently seems to be helping her energy level so I was just wondering if the primeGLO would help in giving her energy too? Not sure what the iron levels in it is as I found out that the iron levels vary from bag to bag with the HE! And was just wanting something for an easy keeper but didn't want to take away from her energy if you get what I'm saying ! :

I fed PowerGlo for years, I wanted the higher fat. I can't get it any longer and miss it.

I just switched to the ADM Ultra Fiber - happy with it so far and it isn't any more expensive than the crap I bought at the Co-Op.

Has anyone fed Power Glo AND Prime Glo? I'm considering switching feeds and curious as to what others experienced on each feed. I can't decide which one would better fit out horses. Also considering the Patriot 14%...

I have used the Prime, Senior, Junior-GLO lines. I talked to the distributor about the PrimeGLo vs PowerGlo and we decided mine probably wouldn't need the PowerGlo. I wanted something really low in sugar/starch and PrimeGLO was lower than PowerGLO
