In Sept of 2013 my JRT, Bo had a tumor taken off of her liver along with 2 liver lobes and spleen.  It was cancerous but I was told they got it all and she would be good for at least 993 days.  Fast forward to yesterday morning, Bo had a seizure out of nowhere.  Took her to the vet.  Blood work, x-rays and ultrasound.  They found that her liver is infiltrated with "masses".  They sent her home with liver support medication and anti-siezure meds.  I was told that other than that, there is nothing they can do.  She is not acting sick, but her belly is distended, assuming from the masses on her liver. She is eating and is in no pain....yet.  I am looking at essential oils to help shrink the masses in her liver.  Does anybody have good knowledge or experienced with Frankincense ?  I have been reading up on this like mad, since last night.  It looks like Frankincense is good for both tumors and seizures.  There has to be something I can do for her besides sit around and wait for her to deteriorate !!!  I am so sad......I love this little dog.  Does anybody have any suggestions ???

Id' try looking into Herbs for her liver maybe. Check out http://www.runninghranch.com/ and give Kristen a call. She is who I buy my herbs from for CC's kidney stones and also does some work with essential oils. I believe she uses both on her dogs as well as her horses.

I'm confused... they told you she would be healthy for 993 days?

Yes, I know it sounds wierd...and I am sure that they were just trying to give me an idea if this would re-occur or not.  Long story short, I did switch vets about 6 months ago anyway.  What's worse is that it has only been a year and four months and all the cancer was supposed to be gone.  I am at a loss and so sad  I can hardly function.

Look for other treatment options...I was told there was nothing they could do for my mare. To take her home and put her down when the pain became to bad. I figured even if I tried something and it didnt' work at least we had a better chance than not trying anything and I could look her in the eye at the end of the day. She isn't "fixed" per say but even the vets were blown away by the difference the herbs made in her kidney health and that gave them the nudge to go ahead and remove the bladder stone.
