We are flying to Dallas/ft worth for the semi finals. Looking for things in the area to do both horse and non horse related. Best places to go...must sees...what not to waste time/money on, etc.

We rent a car when we go, so we go to Teskeys, NRS, Sheplers, Cavenders, and any other western store we can find. We've gone to the aquarium in Dallas, that was pretty neat - especially if you're bringing kiddos. If amusement parks are your thing, Six Flags will be open for the season on Feb 28th, Zero Gravity Park looks pretty fun and we're going to try to go there when we go for The American. There is a Holocaust Museum in Dallas as well as the JFK Museum. I've never been to either but its on the list of things to do.

The semi finals are in the stockyards. If you like to pub-crawl, its definitely a fun time.

also, go downtown to Pete's Piano Bar

Hey now.....don't say "especially if you're bringing kiddos"...... my best friend I went a few years ago (we were 21 and 22) and had a BLAST!! We were actually really ticked off that we didn't have enough time to see everything.

Take the extra time and drive out to Weatherford for Teskey's...... It's everything horse related you could ever want under one roof!
