Corn oil can cause inflammation in the joints. I use to feed Flax seed.

I feed rice bran and flax for the same reason. I have fed cocosoya as well.
Really and truly, the best bang for the buck that I have found for weight gain is alfalfa cubes and rice bran and flax.

Super simple feed program;
Renew Gold.
High quality fat sources like coconut, flax and stabilized rice bran.
It literally changed my 18 yo barrel horse from completely retired to winning money in the 1D again
