I'm going from Tucson to San Angelo, I am wondering if there is a good, safe place to overnight in Fort Stockton or anywhere else along the way? Thanks!

KmcSunshine should know a good spot. I'm pretty sure there is an arena in FT. Stockton not far off of the interstate.

Turn as if your going N on 285. The show barn is on your right about a half a mile from IH10. The pens in the back of the building you can use. I call in to the Sheriff's dept and let them know that I'm there. The airport is right behind the building. You can park at the bottom of the slope and no one will bother you. I've  had a deputy come to check on me once when I was in limp mode just to make sure I made it!
