| I stopped after I read the horse had been turned out with the other horses since the injection. I've always been told to keep them up after an injection. Last time I had anything injected a week of not riding was recommended due to new research saying the longer you can wait to get back to hard riding the better to allow the injection to really work. |

I would have penned him up alone had I known that was the right thing to do. :( I don't have an issue waiting to ride him as I've said on here previously. If he's not back to riding the rest of the month, it's no big deal. Between all my jobs and a full time college class load, I've got plenty to keep me busy when I would normally be riding him. He hasn't really had a prolonged break in a year.....maybe a week here or there but not much more than that.....so it will probably do him some good to rest and relax. |

Nope. It took a long time to even find something off about that right hind leg. |

| I have a mare that had to have her right stifle injected due to OCD lesions. After being injected I stalled her for 3 days and buted her per my vet to help with any inflammation.Injections only last about 60 days so you will definitely want to 're-evaluate your horse at that 60-70 day mark. I also gave her adequan (can help extend life of injection) and cosequin ASU. I also buted her the day before a race, the day of and next morning to help with inflammation. All recommended by my vet. |

Location: My perfect world bubble | I have a horse with bad stifles. We injected last year and it helped some but not enough. After 60 days of hill work he was still slipping so we blisted him last week and started him on estrogen injections. I can feel quite a bit of difference but we are still in strengthening/rehab mode. Deep ground and turns are the worst things for stifles so on a barrel horse you'll always have an uphill battle to keep them strengthened and conditioned. As others have said lots of hills, straight lines, downward transitions and poles. |

I didn't know I wasn't supposed to! I don't have stalls so if one needs stall rest, we have to move a bunch of panels and get really creative with pens. Since it was never mentioned, even when I asked what do to with him now, I brought him home from the vet clinic and turned him out with the others. Their pen isn't huge, but it's an average rodeo arena size. Still waiting on the vet to call me back and clarify what they found, what they did and what I'm supposed to be doing now. I called yesterday morning. |
