Has anyone giving their horses shots of Vitamin B12? Or shots of any other kind of vitamins? A few people suggested I give my 2 yr old colt (3 on July 20) shots of Vitamin B12.

You can get it in a paste or powder also. It is very common to use on barrel horses. It can also be given as a shot. Most veterinarians will carry it if you prefer giving shots.

Why are they suggesting it?

Apparently my colt is too "malnourished" looking to them. He's an Andalusian, so he will have more of that warmblood type body & growth... I think the folks telling me are too used to looking at QH's. If he were a QH, then yes I would agree that he looks tiny... His knees haven't even locked yet. Also, I am more experienced myself with QH/TB. My QH mare was pretty much fully grown at 3, she just got wider the year after that.
