Blindness is a spiritual metaphor in Scripture for the darkness in which those without Christ exist.
Just because our eyes are open doesn't mean we can see. Sometimes we cannot perceive things that are in plain sight because we aren't paying attention. We focus on a task , event or object so completely that we don't see what's right in front of us. Perceptual blindness means that if we aren't paying attention , we can miss even the most obvious events.
We don't even know we don't know . Only as things are revealed to us, as we learn , we are able to fill in those gaps in our knowledge. How much of Jesus have we missed while focused on someone or something else?
We must put our antennae up to be aware of The Lord. That is how we see Him in the sunrise, hear Him in the laughter of a child, touch Him in the softeness of a puppy, smell His fragrance in the freshly washed air of rain, and yes, taste sweetness of and juicy orange. All good things or The Lord. How dark our lives would be without Him.
PLEASE don't go another day without looking for The Lord in it.
Matthew 13 :13-14 With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah; says " You will indeed listen, but never understand, and you will indeed look, but never perceive. For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are hard of hearing, and they shut their eyes; so that they might not look with their eyes, and listen with their ears, and understand their heart and turn....and I would heal them.
Slow down, see, hear The Lord today big or small. Take notice God in all things
Father guide us today to see, hear help us t do all things to bring glory and honor to You AMEN
For it is with God all things are possible
Have a very Blessed Friday and weekend
