2nd run back! But help with an extra step!

Last May I had brain surgery. This is my second run back, my first being in November. I was really excited, I felt amazing, I rode better than I have in years and my mare felt like she really worked. I can pick this run apart in a million ways as it was not perfect but it was HUGE milestone and success story for me. 2nd in the 2D with some pretty stiff competition. Woo-Hoo!

Now for the question:
My mare takes an extra step on her second barrel, not just this run but always and only her second barrel.
Things that went wrong here, I sat too early going to all my barrels and because of that she rated really hard, she was trying to shoulder her second and third barrel so I lifted her inside shoulder
(also probably a product of me sitting to early
). Lost momentum at her third. And yes, her head did elevate at the second. She runs pretty flat, I think I must have bumped her coming into my second. But her extra step was not a product of the elevation. She always does it.
I have tried what seems like a hundred different things; circling barrels, counter arching around the barrels, quad drills, continuation drills, making an extra circle on the back side, roll backs, spirals...
I am out of ideas. Can someone suggest something else? Or is it just the way she is going to run?

I thought it looked great! She looks like a really fun mare. I actually have a mare back home that runs very similar and is even the same color! She runs to left first too!!
