| I've noticed a big difference when feeding it! My suspected horses (they're babies and broodmares, so I'm not paying for ulcer stuff) gain weight FAST on it. |

Location: Jersey Girl | I like Triple Crown products. My only concern with this product is it has cane molasses in it. Is that the same as the molasses that is in sweet feeds? Molasses is not good for ulcer prone horses. |

I believe it's a very small amount to ensure palability. You can always call an ask. |

Location: MD | I am feeding Alfa Lox to one that I constantly battle with ulcers. This horse is by far, the biggest management issue that I have ever encountered. He stresses worth than anything I have ever seen. If it storms, he cowers in the corner and jumps when the win hits the side of the barn. God forbid it begins to sprinkle while he's in turnout, etc... I am very careful of how I feed him. He is also a bleeder, so I have to be careful about his alfalfa intake. He is huge and drops weight very easily. I feed TC Safe Starch, but started him on the Alfa Lox and he is gaining at an impressive rate, allowing me to scale back on the amount of grain that he is being fed, which used to be an issue. |

It's $30, but I believe you feed 2-4# a day, so a bag should last, at 2#/day 20 days. A little over a dollar a day. |

Ah gotcha. That doesn't seem too bad. |

| Thanks for the input everyone! I've started feeding it last week. I'm also on the UlcerGuard. So far, after about 18 days I've not noticed any changes. I'm hoping for a miracle. My horse it unrideable at this point. |
