How well do ammermans fit a foundation horse that is wide with big shoulders?

Mine does....as with any saddle you need to know what size of tree to get.

Just depends on the tree the saddle has.
I know back when I bought one which was a long time ago it fit my horses really well but my horses back then were built more racey. I know that his saddles had the standred tree in them but if its a newer saddle he maybe had used wider trees. They are a really nice saddle, do you know if its a Carl or Paul saddle? Edit to say: I had a Paul Ammerman saddle back then and hes the dad of Carl. Paul's not making saddles anymore. They make the most beautiful saddles

If its a Carl it should fit your wide shouldered horse.

Did not fit mine AT ALL. Could not fit my mare, even Carl said no way no how. In fact it was the only saddle I've ever owned that ever sored up any of my horses backs. Best like with any saddle if you can try it out first, do. If not I'm sure it'll resell, thankfully mine did.

Nope...not any of ours. Bar angle seemed a bit too high pitched/angled.

I have 2 saddles by Carl and they fit on everything I throw them on - and that's been a lot
