So I took a lot of advice from here and friends, worked closely with my trainer on my filly. Also joined Crossfit again, 7 pounds down in 4 weeks.
Had vet check mare up and down, can't find ANY lameness issues, saddle fit etc. Slowed it down a bit and worked on our turns.

I know I still have a long way to go and there's many more improvements to be made, so here it is (can't belive im posting another video lol). I know I held her head to the side to long coming from 3rd.

Our improvement

ย Well first of all, good for you for making sure she's feeling good and for losing some weightย . What exactly are you trying to achieve with a bit change? I noticed the tail swishing but nothing else is glaring at me.

I posted a thread a little while ago asking advice on what bit I should use, my mare was not collecting and any pressure she would tuck her head. I took some advice and worked on some things and now there's a night and day difference. I did also change her bit but I know that's not what has helped the most.

have you checked her ovaries? the tail swishing would make me wonder since she's pretty clear she's peeved.

Same.. I know it's frustrating but she's not working off her backend how she should. Looks more like she's gliding around the barrels than working like she should be..

If she really isn't hurting I would be doing a lot of slow work getting her butt in the ground and not worry about running her for a few months.

Not every horse runs dragging their butt into the ground, she runs on the top of the ground, I have another horse that stays up right as well and I have one that drags her butt around every barrel.

Have not had ovaries checked going to a special vet for that next month.

Here's what I'm thinking on the tail wringing, we've blocked everything joint and muscle wise and still the same results, so I believe it's something internal (ovaries, ulcers). I can't think of anything else, nor can my vet but i taking her to my regular local vet for ovaries check since it's cheaper then the performance vet, will keep digging until I figure it out.

Thank you karen, Crossfit is whopping me into shape fast, I've been doing 3-5 days a week plus riding, my energy level is higher and I feel great in only 4 weeks, can't wait to see a few months down the road.
